Thoughts on The Bachelor

Okay, first off, thank goodness Travis kept Sarah from Tennessee. If he hadn't given her a rose, I honestly would have stopped watching. For those of you who don't watch, she is a kindergarten teacher from Nashville, and we learned tonight that she lives half a mile from Travis, goes to his gym, jogs by his house everyday, yet they never met until she stepped out of the limo in Paris, France. This folks has the brewings of a true television romance. ABC is about to be golden. Another thing...I totally respect this Travis Stork guy...not very often does a guy come on television and not shove his tongue down every girl he meets. This guy is class. I mean he didn't even kiss Sarah until tonight and this what, like the 5th or 6th episode? I was honestly worried that maybe they had gone too long w/o some form of intimacy, but once you heard that little sigh that Sarah made when Travis finally kissed her, you knew the wait had been worth it for both of them. She truly deserves to be happy--and she was fantastic with those kids. Too bad my kindergarten teacher wasn't like that (my assistant teacher had one foot in the grave back then).

But enough of the sappiness. I am really hoping that Travis understands that this Susan girl is really in it in order to get a break into acting. I mean her mother was even warning Travis about her! How much more of a hint do you need? Yes, yes, sometimes the testosterone can cloud the brain--but he's a doctor by george--Dr. McDreamy at that, and he should see right through her. As far as Moana goes, I kind of feel bad for her. I think the girls in the house were a little harsh on her, but she seems to have one too many issues (psychological included). And her dad was flat out rude--he ignored everything Travis said. Surprised she stayed around, but not shocked Travis let Sarah from Canada go. Forget about her being 23, you just don't talk about other girls when you are on a date with someone else. I mean have these girls not watched the other many seasons of The Bachelor? Oh wait, that's right, probably not, because unlike me they have lives. I doubt they spend 20 mins blogging on a reality show. Well I have fun at least. Here's to hoping that Travis and Sarah live happily ever after, that he realizes that there are mountains around Nashville where he can do his outdoor activities (or just use the money and get a summer place in Colorado. I'm sure my grandfather and great uncle could spare them a room) so he doesn't have to uproot the family-centered Sarah, and most of all--that he will come to his senses and send the other girls packing. Sarah=long term, the real deal. Use that Duke education for something Travis. Cheers!
